Privacy Policy
This page sets out, in plain terms, how Fandango Digital Ltd handles personal data connected with raniastudio.com ("Rania Studio"). It's written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. The data controller
Fandango Digital Ltd (company number 10151334, registered office 145 St Pancras, Chichester, West Sussex, England, PO19 7SH) is the controller responsible for this site. You'll find full contact details on the Contact page.
2. What actually gets collected
Three categories, and nothing beyond them:
- Basic browsing data — things like browser and device type, pages viewed and where you arrived from, picked up through cookies once you've given consent (full detail in the Cookie Policy).
- A short affiliate click record — when you follow a link to a recommended course, we note the time, the page it was clicked from, and your IP address with the final segment removed, purely to reconcile referrals and spot obvious fraud. The full IP address is never kept.
- Anything you send us directly — emails and their contents, kept only for as long as it takes to deal with whatever you've written in about.
There's no account system, newsletter sign-up or contact form collecting names or addresses on this site. The self-check quiz on the homepage is entirely client-side — your answers never leave your browser.
3. Why we process it
- Keeping the site running and making small improvements over time;
- Understanding, once you've opted in, how content is actually being read;
- Making sure affiliate referrals get credited to the right place;
- Replying to whatever you've written to us.
4. Legal basis for processing
Cookies beyond the essential one rely on your consent. Everything else — running the site, logging clicks for referral purposes — rests on our legitimate interest in keeping a small advertorial site functioning correctly.
5. Where data goes beyond this site
Once you leave via a course link (Coursera, for instance), whatever you enter on their site is governed by their own privacy terms — we have no sight of it. Analytics or ad-measurement tools we use are only active after you've consented to that category; the current list lives in the Cookie Policy.
6. How long we keep things
Affiliate click logs are deleted on a rolling basis once they're no longer needed for reconciliation or fraud checks. Emails are kept only for as long as it's reasonable to need them to sort out whatever you contacted us about.
7. What you can ask us to do
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or have deleted any personal data we hold on you, and you can object to specific uses of it. To action any of that, write to hello@raniastudio.com.
If you think your data has been mishandled, you're also entitled to complain directly to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Updates to this page
This notice gets revised from time to time; the date at the top always reflects the latest version.
